The Focal Utopia Scala V2 official launch for this region will be held at the Kuala Lumpur International AV show this Friday.
Doing the honours will be Jean-Philippe Fontaine of Focal at the Audio Perfectionist room.
The Scala V2 are three-way floorstading bass-reflex speakers featuring a 11″ ‘W’ woofer, a Power Flower 6 1/2″ ‘W’ midrange and an IAL2 pure Beryllium interted dome tweeter.
Its rated frequency response is 27Hz-40kHz and its sensitivity is quite high at 92dB. Dimensions are H X L X D 124.7 x 39.3 x 67 cm.
According to the Focal website, the Scala V2 has retained all the qualities of the previous version which launched five years ago.
The Scala V2 now boasts a new bass unit providing improved power handling, giving more effective bass and enhanced control. This has also improved the midrange register whose focus has progressed immensely, resulting in a more precise and remarkable sound stage.
