In a recent move that is expected to up the ante on high performance headphones, JVC announced the availability of its portable SU-AX7 headphone amplifier.
Inspite of its compactness the SU-AX7 is packed to the gills with sound enhancing features, the most outstanding of which is its K2 high resolution sound scaling technology. Designed to accept digital signals from just about every digital audio device available the SU-AX7’s K2 Technology upscales all audio resolution to high resolution audio via its 192khz/24 bit digital audio scaler.
In addition to its K2 Technology the SU-AX7 also feature a clearly separated circuit layout that effectively isolate the power block, digital block and the analogue section.
According to JVC this prevents stray signal interferences crossing over and possibly distorting the signal from the different stages.
Finally, in yet another effort to retain the purity of the signal the entire circuit structure is ‘floated’ or isolated from the enclosure body. The net result, says JVC, is a significant reduction in external vibration, resulting in a more stable, focussed sound, with greatly improved details a well.
