A Pioneering Effort

For those who missed the recent KL International AV Show 2018 they have lost the golden opportunity to see and feel the soon to be released first 4K UHD Blu-ray Player from Pioneer.
According to a spokesman from Pioneer Technology the UDP-LX500 was flown in just in time for display at the KL International AV Show 2018.
It is still non-operational as its final video staging is yet to be set, hence it was not put on a proper display. It is unfortunate but at least serious videophiles had the opportunity to ‘suss’ out the looks and build quality of the first ever 4K Blu-ray Player from Pioneer.
The aesthetics and level quality, in short, is pure Pioneer, that is it is extremely well made and has the typical aesthetics that is instantly recognisable as vintage, highly desirable Pioneer.
Main features include a three block internal layout whereby the power supply system, digital drive and analogue circuitry are separate and shielded.
Physical integrity is also accorded some serious thoughts as the entire structure are reinforced with 3mm high rigidity steel plates to cut down on structural vibration.
In addition to HDR, the UDP-LX500 is also designed to be HDR10 and Dolby Vision compatible with the proper UHD Blu-ray movies.
No price was available at the time of display at the KL International AV Show 2018 and it is expected to hit the stores sometime in late September/early October.
