Reference Audio of Singapore is planning to have small, by-invitation-only group sessions in its outlets and collaborators-cum-dealers in Malaysia in June.

Reference Audio has stakes in RAVE in Kuala Lumpur and YY Sound in Ipoh. Its other collaborators-cum-dealers are WTL Trading in Malacca and Hi-Fi Choice in Penang.

However, whether the small-group sessions will come to fruition will very much depend on the COVID-19 situation and the Malaysian Government policies.

TK Han of Reference Audio said the format may change to video-based type, but it will depend on how the COVID-19 situation pans out.

If the small-group listening sessions materialise, audiophiles will be able to enjoy music produced by high-end components such as Gryphon, Wilson Benesch, EAR Yoshino, Jadis, Genesis, CH Precision, Yamaha (5000 series) and Ortofon.

Meanwhile, RAVE in Kuala Lumpur, YY Sound in Ipoh and WTL Trading in Malacca have reopened their showrooms, but are having only by-appointment sessions.

Hi-Fi Choice in Penang is open as normal, but safety SOPs to prevent COVID-19 infections such as wearing face masks and washing hands with sanitizers will have to be observed.
