Frankly I cannot remember the last time Accuphase amplifiers and other products were on demo at the Kuala Lumpur International AV Shows or even the AV shows organised by The Star many years ago. I asked a few old-timers and none of them can recall any Accuphase product on demo in the past few decades.
So this year Malaysian audiophiles are in luck — Victor Pheh of HiFi Creations Reference Systems will be setting up a full stack of Accuphase components matched with a pair of Harbeth Super HL5 XD speakers.
His demo system will comprise the Accuphase P-7500 power amp, DC-1000 DAC, C-2900 preamp and DP 570 SACD player. The PS-550 power regen will also be in the system. Other products like the Accuphase E-5000 integrated amp, E-4000 integrated amp and A-48 Class A power amp will also be on display.
Streaming duties will be performed by the highly-regarded Pink Faun 2.16 Ultra music server/streamer.
The Accuphase/Pink Faun demo will be held in Room 2601 on the 26th floor of The Gardens Hotel.
