Don’t forget the big event in the north this weekend — the Northern International AV Show 2025 is on from April 25 to 27 at Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang.
It will not be the typical AV show…for starters there will be something for Cosplay fans. a Cosplayer Corner will be one of the attractions.
New exhibitors will include pro-audio & lighting, DAW set ups, musical products, gadgets & devices…there’s even a pop-up market!
There will be Nao Yoshioka, a Japanese soul singer and songwriter, who will belt out some, well, soulful numbers in her Penang debut. Plus there will a list of Malaysian artistes and the live music will kick off at 7.30pm.
There will also be luminaries from the hi-fi and AV industries such as Gary Koh, Chief Designer & CEO – Genesis Advanced Technologies; Richard Mak, HiFi reviewer and vinyl specialist; Rob Watts, Digital Design Consultant – Chord Electronics; Audrius Balciunas, CTO – Silent Pound; Andy Kennard,
Founder – AV Intelligence; Alvin Chee, Founder – Vinshine Audio; Rox Shih, CEO – Lu Kang Audio; Gilles Brun, Regional Director of DALI APAC. There will even be an academic — Dr. Norfarizah Mohd Bakhir, Senior lecturer – New Media Design and Technology Department, School of Art, Universiti Sains Malaysia.
Around 50 exhibitors will showcase over 125 world-class brand. Oh, yes, there will be numerous hi-fi and AV systems on demo too.
Opening hours are 10am to 9pm on April 25 and 26. On April 27 it will be 10am to 6pm. Attendees need not book or buy tickets because entrance is free.
