For the first time in Malaysia an AV exhibition has featured individual demo booths for participants. The Northern International AV Show 2025 currently being held in Penang offers standard-sized booths for the exhibitors with a few larger ones for those with big demo systems. It is also the first time an AV show is held in a Convention Centre.
For as long as I can remember, AV shows had been held in hotels and the demo systems were in hotel rooms stripped of beds and furniture.
This is a major development in the Malaysian trade fair industry and while there is room for improvement, this is a commendable effort.
The Northern International AV Show is still on today and tomorrow at Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang. Entrance is free.
